Super Blog part IV

 In News

Just because you happen to be working at the Super Bowl doesn’t mean there isn’t time for some fun. If you’ve never been to Minneapolis, I have to say that the Mall of America is truly a wonder of the modern world. At a staggering 4.2 million square feet, it’s no stretch to say that it’s easy to get lost in here. To put it in a local perspective, the Mall of America is over four times the size of the Square One Mall in Saugus. And you thought that one was big.

When I first heard that the Super Bowl was being held here, I really thought it had the potential to be a disaster. I mean, you couldn’t pick a less weather-friendly NFL city to be in during late January and early February. But I have to admit, it’s been great so far. The locals are more than friendly, and Minneapolis is a lot more compact than a place like Houston, where we were last year. Getting around has been easy and the mall is so huge that it really houses everything we need, from player hotels to radio row to the studios of the Not Done Network. Not to mention any food, clothing or gadgets you’d need.

Maybe the craziest part is that they actually have an amusement park here in the middle of the mall. That’s where the media party was held last night and we all got a chance to relax a bit. I even  boarded the zip line and grabbed a birds’ eye view of the whole scene. It was a great change of pace from the set.

Thursday morning we were back at it…but that’s for the next chapter.
