Kayla Avitabile is a graduate of Tufts University with a BA in Film & Media Studies and American Studies who is passionate about creating media in multiple mediums and is particularly passionate about video editing. Her biggest project to date has been a narrative, short film titled “As It Was” which she wrote, directed and edited. Near and dear to her heart, she is proud to have garnered some festival selections and awards for this film.
At Wincam, Kayla is responsible for providing Winchester residents and high school students with media making and learning opportunities. From camera demos to one-on-one editing sessions, she is here to help members achieve any and all media-related aspirations. As a Winchester resident herself since August 2022, investing in the community is personal to her. In her spare time, Kayla enjoys sitting down with her guitar to compose new music, watching the latest movies and TV shows with friends and family, and eating yummy food
