COVID-19 REOPENING STRATEGY

Updated July 6, 2020

PHASE 3 (to begin Tuesday, July 7) – WinCAM will open further to its members and the public in phase 3. At this point, WinCAM will begin observing its regular hours of operation. Since it will be mid-summer, WinCAM will follow its approved summer hours schedule. Face coverings will still be required and every attempt to socially distance should be made. WinCAM staff will be working regular hours in the facility.

PHASE 4 (no date yet) – Likely after Labor Day, WinCAM hopes to be fully operational and operating at its full capacity. Even in the best case scenario, safety protocols must be followed. WinCAM will be looking to State officials so provide guidance.

NOTES:

  • Anyone – staff, member or volunteer – making contact with any touch points while at WinCAM will be responsible for the proper disinfecting of those touch points. This includes any electronics, computer mouse, telephone or device. Members using edit bays or studio and control room will have to leave time for disinfecting as part of their reserved time. Members who do not cooperate with this practice will not be allowed to make future reservations.
  • WinCAM staff will immediately disinfect every touch point on every piece of returned field equipment as part of the check-in process. Heavily used equipment such as cameras and tripods will need to sit on a shelf for 48 hours minimum before being checked out to another member.
  • WinCAM will make every effort to attain the proper cleaning equipment such as sprays and wipes. If for some reason these items are not available and plentiful on hand, WinCAM will close to the public until proper equipment can be procured.
  • When performing check in and check out, writing implements should not be shared. It is recommended that members bring in their own.
  • WinCAM will make every effort to have safety equipment such as masks available for members or visitors who do not have them. Anyone who refuses to wear a mask when circumstances require one will be asked to leave.
  • Any visitor who feels ill or displays any symptoms of COVID-19 should stay home and should not visit WinCAM under any circumstances.
  • WinCAM staff will continue to work with town departments and local non-profits during all phases of reopening to facilitate communication. Staff will respect all social distancing and safety protocols during these activities and may opt not to participate if conditions are deemed unsafe.
